S3 Hockey

Built For Girls Pursuing High-Level Hockey

S3 Hockey Development was created to provide female hockey players with more than just skill sessions. We are building an elite development environment where motivated athletes can grow on the ice, gain confidence off the ice, and learn from women who have successfully navigated the highest levels of the game.

At S3, we believe development goes far beyond skating drills and puck touches. Today’s athletes need mentorship, guidance, confidence, leadership, and an environment that challenges them to compete at a higher level every time they step on the ice.

Our mission is to help young female hockey players develop the habits, mindset, and skills required to succeed in elite youth hockey, prep school hockey, NCAA hockey, and beyond.

What separates S3 is the environment we create. Every session is designed to be fast-paced, competitive, and detail-oriented while surrounding players with coaches and mentors who understand the girls hockey pathway firsthand.

Our staff is made up of former and current NCAA Division I athletes, professional women’s hockey players, and experienced female coaches who serve as role models for the next generation of girls hockey players. We are passionate about helping athletes not only improve their game, but also gain confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and a stronger understanding of what it takes to compete at the next level.

At S3, players are pushed to train with purpose.

We focus heavily on:

  • Power skating and edge control
  • Hockey IQ and decision-making
  • Small-area pace and compete habits
  • Skill execution under pressure
  • Overspeed training and puck control
  • Confidence with and without the puck
  • Game-realistic repetitions and situations

We believe skating is the foundation of elite hockey performance. Strong edges, balance, explosiveness, and efficient movement allow players to play faster, think faster, and compete more confidently in high-pressure situations.

Our training philosophy is built around repetition, progression, and accountability. We teach players how to execute skills consistently at game speed, under fatigue, and in competitive environments that translate directly into real game situations.

Most importantly, S3 is committed to helping female athletes feel supported throughout every stage of their hockey journey. Whether a player is striving for prep hockey, AAA hockey, NCAA opportunities, or simply looking to gain confidence and elevate their game, we aim to provide a positive and challenging environment that inspires long-term growth.

★★★★★

When I started playing on my first tier 1 team, my coach told me to consider taking private lessons with a girl who was playing ice hockey for RPI. I was very nervous to start skating one-on-one with Marisa Raspa because I knew I had very little legitimate coaching and I was going to be a lot of work, but Raspa changed my life. I skated twice a week all summer for three years with Marisa
